Michelle Fatima S. Sanchez
Special Trade Representative, Foreign Trade Service Corps, Department of Trade and Industry
Michelle presently serves as Commercial Counsellor at the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – London. Prior to this posting, while on home assignment, she served as Executive Director of the Committee on ASEAN Economic Community and later as Assistant Secretary and Coordinating Officer of DTI’s Foreign Trade Service Corps.
Her most recent foreign assignment (February 2012 to June 2015) was as head of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – New York, with jurisdiction over the US Northeast and Midwest States and Eastern Canada.
Prior to joining government, Michelle worked with the Philippine Exporters Confederation and developed its range of export support services and policy advocacy program. Michelle was also involved in UN/ITC trade development programs and in crafting the first medium term Export Development Plan of the Philippines as part of Trade Development Consultants – Philippines.
Nurul Ichwan
Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre in London
Nurul Ichwan is the Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre in London/Representative Office of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) for European Region in London. He joined BKPM in 1998. Before his current position, Nurul Ichwan was the Deputy Director for Manufacture Industry Promotion of Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board. He was also the Director of Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre in Singapore (2006-2009). He has about 19 years of experience in the field of investment, including investment promotion, consultation, monitoring and evaluation and licensing.
