Unlock Your Business After a Year of Lockdowns

While for some, the lockdown of 2020-2021 was full of challenges, many have found that the change of pace, the downtime or even the lack of social interaction created a moment of pause, an opportunity to reflect on what makes them happy, especially in their career.

We’ve seen the impact this period of reflection has had. Not just on who has come to us ready to make a change, but in the way we provide support to aspiring entrepreneurs and ambitious small businesses.

To respond, we needed to change, so that’s when we became the Small Business Research + Enterprise Centre.

If you already know us, what’s under the hood has not changed; we’re still here to provide invaluable market research and data, one-to-one business advise from qualified business advisors, seminars, networking and business events unmissable for entrepreneurs.

Our mission is to be the leading force in delivering support for start-ups and SMEs in the City, in London and the rest of the UK. To do this, we’ve worked hard to develop a unique service which includes remote access to some of the most useful databases available for market research. With our membership you can conduct competitor analysis, SWOT or PESTLE analysis, and research in-depth trends in any sector in the UK and the globe – without having to leave your home.

As we have slowly began to come out of lockdown, preparation is more important than ever. Businesses, small and large had to adjust very quickly in March 2020, moving out of lockdown provides a whole new opportunity to pivot back into a model which embraces the digital changes many have made to their businesses, while recognising our very human need for social interaction. Our resources can help you prepare and plan for the next few months, six months and the years to come by understanding what your customers need, how they hope to continue to interact with you, and the skills you need to respond to those needs.

Whatever position you are in, no matter how confident you are feeling, market research allows you to better understand both the micro, and the macro-economics that will impact our return to the new normal, and how to best capitalise and reach your customer base.  The Small Business Research + Enterprise Centre brings together some of the most qualified individuals to run practical events to help you understand and grow your client base, understand and develop your value proposition, writing content to attract customers, approaching fundraising and scale-up and much more.

We’ve understood deeply the dramatic shift that the pandemic and resulting lockdown had on how businesses need to respond, act and deliver to not only survive, but to potentially thrive. We’ve been there alongside you, with the same challenges, working hard to maintain a service in the midst of the unknowable. In short – we get it, and we want to help.
